Maintenance Clinics

Routine Visits to Manage Specific Treatments

Stockton Cardiology has two maintenance clinic programs for specific patients, the Pacer Clinic, and for existing patients we have the Coumadin Clinic.

The Pacer Clinic

In Stockton Cardiology’s Pacer Clinic, we regularly monitor pacemaker activity and provide ongoing care to pacer patients.

During successive visits to this clinic, your cardiologist will discuss any issues and download information remotely transmitted from the device. Most of the time, your device adjustments can be made in the office if needed. We also check the pacer’s battery levels, and provide education for maintaining your device.

A pacemaker is a small device that sends electrical signals to the heart in order to regulate the heartbeat. If a condition develops in the heart where it beats too slow, fast, or in irregular rhythms, a pacemaker may be the solution to correct this, ensuring the heart is able to distribute the adequate amount of blood throughout the body.

If you have any questions about our pacemaker clinic or any other service we offer here at Stockton Cardiology, give us a call to speak with a cardiologist today.

Coumadin Clinic

The Coumadin Clinic is limited to our existing patients who are taking Warfarin (brand name Coumadin). These patients must visit on regular basis determined by their cardiologist, to take a blood test to monitor the affect of the anticoagulant drug on the blood clotting capability.
