Outpatient Surgery Center

Partner Surgery Center in Our Stockton Building

Stockton Cardiology doctors perform a variety of procedures at the outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) we are partnered with, called National Surgical Centers Stockton (NSCS). This facility provides a comfortable, convenient, and patient-centered experience, located within the building of the Stockton Cardiology corporate headquarters and clinic at: 415 E. Harding Way in Stockton.

NSCS is owned by physicians, allowing you to work with the Stockton Cardiology cardiologist you know and trust and who you continue to see in pre-operative and post-operative discharge on an outpatient basis, without the headaches of not knowing who you will see for continued care.

NSCS is physician-owned and cares deeply about the quality of care provided. We understand the anxiety you may experience at a larger facility and strive to provide a personal, safe and professional environment you and your family can feel comfortable with.

Same-Day Surgery

Our patients appreciate being able to receive the surgery and procedures on the same day and leave the facility to recover in the comfort of their own home surrounded by family and friends.

Our goal is to provide our patients with a comfortable environment that focuses on patient safety first and ensuring successful surgical outcomes.

Procedures We Perform at the Surgery Center

These are some of the procedures our cardiologists perform at this surgery center:

  • Pacemaker Implant

A pacemaker insertion is the implantation of a small electronic device that is usually placed in the chest (just below the collarbone) to help regulate slow electrical problems with the heart.
  • Pacemaker Generator Exchange

This is a procedure to replace a battery that has reached end of life in the Pacemaker device.
  • Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) Implant

An Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator is a small electronic device that is implanted into the chest to monitor and correct an abnormal heart rhythm, or arrhythmia.
  • AICD Generator Exchange

This is a procedure to replace a battery that has reached end of life in the AICD device.
  • Implantable Loop Recorder (ILR)

An implantable loop recorder is a very small heart rhythm monitoring device that stays in place under the skin of the chest. The device records heart rhythm continuously for up to three years.
  • Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Interventions

PAD is a condition in which plaque sticks to the walls of an artery and either blocks it or narrows it.  Plaque consists of cholesterol, fat, calcium, and fibrous tissues found in the blood.  When it clumps together, the plaque will harden and restrict blood flow.  Plaque in the arteries is called atherosclerosis.  When atherosclerosis or PAD is discovered in an arm or leg, a peripheral arterial intervention may be performed via a combination of:
    • atherectomy and angioplasty, with or without stenting
